Our featured destination is one for the family. DAHILAYAN Adventure Park is like EDEN in Davao City but only better. Surrounded by lush Pine trees and greeted by freezing air enough to give you goosebumps, this vacation spot gave me back pains from almost 8 hours travel.Located at Barangay Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich Bukidnon, it is nestled at the foot of Mount Kitanglad 4,700 ft. above sea level giving you a breath taking view.

The hills are alive Part 1

Last February 16, 2013 (like this is news) my friends over the fence (lawyers) went on a weekend getaway. With a limited amount of preparation and only a map and print out of  restaurant reviews in tow courtesy of Teen, our sojourn began at four in the morning. Sleepyheads on the road, we muster ourselves to resists all the bumps to get a good rest  but to no avail, I ended up awake while the rest in deep slumber.

We arrive at our destination with weary bodies yet full of vigor as the panoramic views engulfed our tiresome spirits (weeeeh. Tourist destination to be featured in Part 2). However the rain was enough to limit ourselves to the confines of our bunk and instead decided to visit Cagayan since it is half an hour away.

We were on the road back to our destination at around 9 in the evening. So tired we were dragging ourselves towards the bathroom for our refreshing duties however one soul decided to sleep without even brushing (ewww) and wash (double eww). Each of us went to dreamland with the excitement that tomorrow will bring. I however was disturbed by the sound of the wind which felt like there was a Quidditch game going outside.

We were saddened by the chain of events for three days after the Camp was attacked by revolutionaries. If only the pineapple can transform.

Beyonce's Superbowl Halftime Performance 2013

Beyonce's Superbowl performance was the bomb. Added to that, the reunion of Destiny's Child made the show more spectacular. I wish I was there to witness the excitement and feel the stadiums energy. Beyonce, you're the one!

The Church is House of Prayer and not your playground.

 

Just this afternoon I saw a child surrounded by his peers on the footsteps animatedly discussing the game his currently playing on his Ipad. Talk about early lessons on social networking but this charming event happened in the church and while the mass was going on. I wonder where his parents are for I can only give them a stare, eyes that could pierce through their brains and reprogrammed them by virtue of telekinesis and genetically engineer their neurons to do what is right and appropriate for their product of conception. I wonder what the kid’s future will be.
